New Cargo Hub Enhances TNT Express Network
TNT Express has capitalised on growing Europe-UAE traffic by opening a new cargo hub at Dubai International Airport.
The new cargo hub, covering 2,500m2, will mean faster transit times, cost benefits and greater control over customer shipments, TNT said.
The company recently launched a B767F with a daily connection between Dubai and its air hub in Europe, carrying up to 50 tonnes of cargo per flight.
"TNT's volumes on our freight network between Europe and the UAE have grown by over 30 per cent in 2010 and the timing of expanding the hub was to allow us further support and accelerate volume growth," Bryan Moulds, regional managing director for TNT Middle East, said.
TNT is now looking to establish itself at the new Al Maktoum International airport in either 2012 or 2013.(cna)
