JAS New Export Acceptance Service Center And ISAGO Socialization Campaign
PT. Jasa Angkasa Semesta Tbk. or JAS Airport Services (JAS), the first private ground handling company in Indonesia established in 1984 and start to operate at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, on Monday 14 January 2013 inaugurated its warehouse, New Export Acceptance Service Centre that has been renovated and located at Warehouse 530, Cargo Area, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
The warehouse renovation, which is also for the office and warehouse buildings, is forms of appreciation and gratitude from JAS to its clients/customers and partners that as their commitment to always improve its services. This program is a series of activities in improving the services that has been starting since 2011, previously signed by the renovation of Import cargo service centre.
"The total of JAS' warehouse capacity until today for export and import could reach around 15,000 ton/month. The investment for this warehouse construction needs budget for 33 billion Rupiah. The operation of the new warehouse and office is for improving better service quality for customers as well as increasing the revenue target for 2013 at around 10% - 12% will be able to be realized," Nazri Othman, Vice President Director & COO JAS added.
The JAS Export Centre Facility is equipped by several facilities and new equipment such as a convenient customer service room and integrated with One-Stop Service concept. These facilities are also equipped for special cargo services like dangerous goods, valuable goods, fragile goods, and for life cargoes or "Pet Shelter". In order to ease the customers in monitoring the cargo delivery, there's also computerized web track facility with modern safety system and security, and eco-friendly equipment.
In the same time, JAS also announced the company"s achievement to getting IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operation or known as ISAGO. ISAGO is an audit system formatted and implemented by IATA (International Air Transportation Air Transport Association) applied on Ground Handling company consistently and in standard way by using audit quality principles acknowledged internationally.
ISAGO was accepted for the first time on 6 April 2010 for JAS Headquarter office. Then the second ISAGO accepted in July 2010 for operational at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Cengkareng.
This achievement is part of commitment to always prioritize the aspects of working safety and security in line with both national and international standard and provisions in all over JAS environment.
"The standardization of ISAGO was started in 2008. JAS will be the only Ground Handling in Indonesia with ISAGO certificates for three operational zones like Cengkareng, Denpasar, and Surabaya. In the international work, there have been 100 ground handling with ISAGO certificate. In Asia Pacific there have been more than 30 companies with ISAGO certificate. Therefore world class airline, exporters, and importers as well as JAS partners wont be doubt to choose JAS as their reference. JAS also standardizes the Safety and Security of passengers in JAS operational zones. The JAS Target to position itself as the world class Warehouse and Grand Handling company", said Adji Gunawan, President & CEO, PT JAS, in the press conference after the inauguration of Warehouse 530, Cengkareng.
Currently JAS operates in 11 airports in Indonesia that are Cengkareng Soekarno-Hatta, Jakarta; Halim Perdanakusuma, Jakarta; Juanda, Surabaya; Ngurah Rai, Denpasar; Polonia, Medan; Hang Nadim, Batam; Adi Sucipto, Yogyakarta; Sepinggan, Balikpapan; Sultan Hasanuddin, Makassar; Sam Ratulangi, Manado, dan Mozes Kilangin, Timika - Papua.
