MYIndo Airlines (MYIndo), a cargo airline based in Jakarta, targeted the industrial potency in Central Java after conducting prime flight on 25 July 2017. The long waiting of the exporters and importers and delivery service industry in Semarang, Central Java over the cargo airline has been answered.

Senior Vice President, Admin & Finance of MY Indo Airlines, Winda J Maukar said, MYIndo Airlines have targeted the market of manufactures in Central Java like spare part company, garden products, textiles, and furniture. They have used the trucking delivery service.

The companies do not automatically open the flight route of Semarang (Achmad Yani) - Singapore (Changi) via the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Cengkareng. However, after doing some in depth studies to be able to serve the needs of the  entrepreneurs who need the cargo airlines service. So far, the entrepreneurs have relied on trucks and ships to deliver the domestic and international cargoes.  

“Even though there are some deliveries using airline, the numbers and capacities will not be big because we still use passenger flights,” she said. Therefore, the goods or cargoes that aren’t able to be transported by the passenger plane can use MYIndo’s aircraft.

She explained, passenger aircraft bellies have limit in   height dimension 80 cm - 90 cm. Nevertheless, the MYIndo Airlines aircraft are able to carry the  cargoes with height dimension to two meters. Moreover, this company (MY Indo) don’t apply surcharge due to the limitation in size and dimension.

“We targeted Semarang for I haven’t seen any special cargo airplane that fly directly from and to Semarang,” explained Winda.
