
Korean Air has been named AirlineRatings.com’s Cargo Airline of the Year for the second consecutive year, Best Airline in North Asia and ranked fourth in the rating agency’s top 25 airlines for 2023.
AirlineRatings.com, an Australia-based aviation media specializing in airline safety and product ratings, announces the world’s best airlines every year after comprehensively evaluating multiple criteria, including safety and product ratings, passenger reviews, fleet age, profitability and environmental commitment.
Korean Air was recognized for its swift, reliable and customized services, and excellent performance amid the industry’s worst crisis. Based on its extensive cargo transport expertise and global network, the airline maximized its cargo operations and leveraged technological advancements to enhance its operational efficiency.
Geoffrey Thomas, Editor-in-Chief of AirlineRatings, said, “Korean Air was at the forefront of addressing the global cargo capacity shortages during the recent pandemic.” He also added, “The airline is also at the forefront of innovation and it has invested in a young fleet of state-of-the-art aircraft fleet built around the 787 and 777 for long-haul flights and Airbus A330, A320 and A220 for short-haul.”
Korean Air also achieved a 4th place ranking in AirlineRatings.com’s Top 25 airlines by achieving exceptional scores in passenger reviews and satisfaction.
