APLog Collaborated with Three SOEs and The SOEs’ Subsidiaries to Support The National Cargo Transformation

PT Angkasa Pura Logistics, a subsidiary of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero), together with PT Gapura Angkasa, PT Angkasa Pura Kargo and PT Aerojasa Cargo signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together of business transformation planning program of cargo and aviation services.

Via Zoom online platform, the signing of MoU was held on Friday, 17th September 2021 in Jakarta. The event was attended by Dendi T Danianto - Business Development Director of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero), Danny P Thaharsyah -Managing Director of PT Angkasa Pura Logistik, Gautsil Madani - President Director of PT Angkasa Pura Kargo, Armand Hermawan - Director of Transformation and Strategic Portofolio PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero), Rahmat Hanafi - Maintenance Director of PT Garuda Indonesia, Edwin Hidayat Abdullah - Vice President of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) and PMO Holding Director of BUMN ITE.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding was the early stage to the preparation of Tourism and Aviation ITE State-Owned Holding BUMN to do the business transformation of Task Force Cargo & Warehousing, Sub-Cluster of Cargo and Aviation Services. Moreover, the collaboration showed the plan, regulation, and cargo & warehouse business transformation held by the Ministry of State-Owned Corporation.

“We, Angkasa Pura I very enthusiastically welcome this collaboration and, we hope that this is not just a memorandum of understanding signing, but it must be carried out in more detail and the impact can be felt directly. This collaboration and work together are forms of post-Covid-19 recovery. There is great uncertainty regarding passenger traffic, which needs to be driven from the promising cargo side and strengthens the integration between the four companies.” said Faik Fahmi, President Director of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero).

“The signing of this memorandum of understanding can become a logistics backbone in Indonesia. Hope not only can we produce an MoU, but we can also produce a quick win from the projects. We really need the value from the air cargo value chain; lastly, this collaboration data will increase our value, integrate data regarding the air cargo value chain, and use that data as a source of insight for us to make business development towards a better direction,” said Dendi, Director of Business Development of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero).

“The four cargoes will become the biggest logistics in Indonesia when they are joined. We hope the value creation for holding could be created and faster, the signing of MoU is an early stage for us prior to the implementation stage. Hope, the formation of solid sub-sector can be realized soonest,” said Armad, the Transformation and Strategic Portfolio Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero)

“This collaboration is a marvelous first stage that could become one of the keys to success and improvement in the next years. Let’s be creative and create the value of this service. Hope, this will strengthen us and position BUMN to be present for the people of Indonesia.” said Edwin, Director of PMO Holding BUMN ITE.

In the future, the collaboration between Angkasa Pura Logistik and the three companies are to distribute cargo using port-to-door services, warehousing cooperation, cargo handling cooperation at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (Bali), and cargo and postal management at Kualanamu Airport, North Sumatra.

This form of cooperation is expected to be a form of collaboration between companies under the holding of ITE Aviation and Tourism State-Owned Corporation as well as a form of participation in the national cargo transformation program.
