SIA August Cargo Up 9pc On Back Of Recovery
Singapore Airlines (SIA) have reported a 9 per cent increase in cargo traffic in August year on year while cargo capacity rose 7.9 per cent, according to a statement released by the airline.
SIA's cargo load factor (CLF) improved 0.6 per cent, thanks to a recovery in demand.
Meanwhile, the airline's passenger capacity, in available seat kilometres, recorded an increase of 0.3 per cent year on year.
The increase in capacity arose from an injection of additional frequencies to the Americas (Newark and Houston), North Asia (Hong Kong, Beijing and Incheon), West Asia and Africa (Mumbai, Delhi, Dhaka, Male and Colombo), and the launch of a new service to Munich, the official airline said.
