Angkasa Pura II Operates Regulated Agent At Soekarno-Hatta Airport Cargo Area
PT Angkasa Pura II (AP II) branch Soekarno-Hatta airport on 3 September 2011, starts operating the Regulated Agent (RA) based on the Letter of General Directorate of Air Transportation of the Transportation Ministry Number: AU/9392/DKP.926/VII/2011, dated on 25 Augusts 2011, about PT Angkasa Pura IIs Permit as a Temporary Regulated Agent.
"Permit certificate of RA operation that the General Directorate of Air Transportation gave to Angkasa Pura II is valid for three months, started since the issued date," the Senior of PT Angkasa Pura II General Manager of Soekarno-Hatta Airport branch, Sudaryanto.
During 3 months, the process of a new legal body making will have to be done with a form of a corporation to AP II as the RA management in the future. Presently, the status of RA corporate that Angkasa Pura II manages is a strategic business unit (SBU) that is in the organization structure of Soekarno-Hatta Airport Branch office.
Sudaryanto added, during the first operation until maximum of six month ahead, AP II will have to apply inspection service fees with its promotion package at Rp. 250/kg. The legitimated tariff covers: 1. Security Charge, 2. Loading/Unloading fee, 3. Charge over facility use, and 4. Distribution fee from inspection area to Line 1 warehouse.
The location of RA AP II is in duty free Warehouse area, inside the warehouse area of Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
In one time inspection, the capacity of AP II inspection at Soekarno-Hatta Airport is available for 5 vehicles. "It is as many as the availability of X-Ray at inspection location, which there are five units," Sudaryanto said. Based on that, he continued, RA AP II will apply the method "rst in-first serve" in their actual operation.
Special for checking hours between 20:00 to 05:00 pm as the peak hour, the cargo check will only be for agents/shippers that make confirmation one hour before the checking process latest. Then, the checking process will have to be done as confirmed schedule as the order, and will have to consider the capacity of available inspection area to avoid piles. "Thus, we apply booking system to ease the schedule arrangement," he said.
Sudaryanto stated, RA will only accept goods that are completed with the airway bill or Air Cargo Document, and packaged as in flight regulation (ready for carried). "If there are entry goods without following the procedures, then we will refuse them. We do this to implement the Regulation of Air Transportation General Directorate Number 255/2011, safety inspection over cargoes and posts that are carried by airlines at Soekarno-Hatta Airport that has been valid since September 3rd," he stated.
