Garuda Indonesia previously announced that it has sign a contract with CAE, a world leader in providing simulation and modelling technologies and integrated training solutions for the civil aviation industry and defence forces around the globe, for two CAE 7000 Series Level D full-flight simulators (FFS) with CAE TroposTM-6000 visual systems. The FFSs will replicate the Airbus A330 and Boeing 737NG aircraft, and will be ready for training by the end of this year. The contract is in line with the ongoing fleet modernization and development in Garuda. President and CEO Garuda Indonesia, Emirsyah Satar said that to anticipate the rapid market growing in the industry, Garuda had implemented 'Quantup Leap' program until 2015 where Garuda will operate 153 aircraft including A330-200 and B737-800 NG. "The partnership with CAE will help Garuda to fulfill the need for more pilot in time by providing them with new highest-quality training environment in its base in Jakarta."
