To strengthening the international cargo delivery network especially in Europe area, currently Garuda Indonesia (GA) Cargo announce their partnership with the Netherland base logistic company, Jan de Rijk, for air cargo trucking services. The partnership signing had been conducted by the Vice President of Garuda Cargo SBU, Rajendra Kartawiria and CEO of Jan de Rijk, Sebastian Scholte in Munchen, Germany, at the same time with the Transport Logistic Exhibition 2013 on Wednesday (5 June 2013). Rajendra stated that the cooperation is in line with the long term program of the company as stated in the Quantum Leap 2011 – 2015. "This cooperation is related to the expansion of Garuda Indonesia flights' network, particularly the of international cargo shipping as an effort to improve services to our users." For Europe destination, Garuda deliver the cargoes from the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to Schiphol Airport. From Amsterdam, Jan de Rijk will distribute the cargoes by trucks to several cities like Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Brussels, Rome, Milan, Barcelona, London, Manchester, and Zurich. Later, Jan de Rijk is expected to be able to intensify the cargo delivery services to 30 cities in Europe.(mar)
