The International express delivery service company, DHL Express announced their investment plan in 2013 for Rp 109 billion (or around 9.2 million Euro) in order to accelerate its business expansion in Indonesia. The announcement was announced on the same day of DHL Express Indonesia's 40th anniversary as a leading express delivery services in Indonesia. As the pioneer in logistic business in 1973, DHL Express Indonesia has recorded several significant things, so then the business develops rapidly. Precisely in Indonesia, within the last three years, DHL has invested more than Rp. 36 Billion (3.6 million Euro) to enhance the facilities to give convenience and high quality services to their customers in Indonesia. "DHL will start its expansion plan by expanding its networks in all over Indonesia, one of them is to open 6 (six) new retail outlets in Jakarta; then, the expansion plan to expand and improve DHL's facilities, such as - the changes of 105 operational vehicles, the opening of new Gateway in Denpasar, the revamping of Jakarta Gateway facilities, and the gateway relocation in Medan and Balikpapan", Yasmin Aladad - the Vice President of DHL Express of Southeast Asia said.
