The Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF) and the Directorate General of Customs failed the smuggling trial of 71,250 lobster seeds with the price value for Rp 2.85 million. The Minister of MMAF Susi Pudjiastuti expressed her appreciation towards the inter-sectoral joint work. The Head of Quality Control and Fish Quarantine Agency (BBKIPM) of Jakarta 1 Rina said, the case was revealed by the District Police of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport that failed the smuggling of lobster seeds to Singapore. "The lobster seeds are from Mataram and have been secured when the flight made a transit at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport, last Thursday (Sep 8)". When the package was found, tens of thousands of the lobster seeds were saved inside three luggage. First luggage contained of 33 plastics with 24 thousands of seed. The second luggage contained 32 plastics with 24 thousands of seed and the third luggage contained of 30 plastics with 22,250 seeds. Total of lobster seeds was 71,250 seeds. After the handover by the Soekarno-Hatta Airport's Police on 9 September, BBKIPM Jakarta I conducted a release of the lobster seeds to the southern coast, West Java. Of the 71,250 lobster seeds, 1,500 seeds are reserved as substantiation in the court.
