To propel the realization of post and cargo terminal management at airport that is in line with the Law Number 1 year 2009 about Aviation (UU No. 1/2009); therefore, Angkasa Pura Airports (AP I), as an Airport Entity (Badan Usaha Bandar Udara / BUBU)and is supported by the Cargo Times, a transportation media, is ready to hold a National Seminar of “Harmonisasi and Penyamaan Persepsi Pengelolaan Terminal Kargo dan Pos di Bandara” (Harmonization and Perception Resemblance of Posts and Cargo Terminal at Airport) on Monday 11 September 2017 at the Grand Mercure Hotel, Kemayoran.

This seminar is expected to present a keynote speaker, the Director General of Air Transportation of the Transportation Ministry, Agus Santoso after the opening speech by the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi and the Managing Director of AP I, Danang S. Baskoro. Moreover, some representatives of the stakeholders will become panelists, they are the Managing Director of AP I Danang S. Baskoro, the Managing Director of AP II M. Awaludin, the Managing Director of PT Garuda Indonesia Pahala N. Mansury, and the Head of Indonesian Forwarder and Logistic Association (ILFA) Yuki Nugraha.

“As the Law Number 1 year 2009 about the Aviation and its derivative laws haven’t been optimally socialized; it may cause disputes amongst the stakeholders, especially between the Airport Entity and their business partners. Due to the disputes, AP I as an Airport Entity haven’t been able to work on its function and obligation optimally in giving airport services. Therefore, AP I initiated to conduct the national seminar as communication forum to synchronize perception about posts and cargo terminal management at airport,” Danang S. Baskoro explained.

He also said, “Through this national seminar, it is expected to be able to give more comprehensive pictures and understandings of services and working environment of the Airport Entity and the Airport Entity’s partners who have obligations as stipulated in the Law Number 1 year 2009.

Furthermore, by the comprehensive pictures, it is expected there would be similar understandings about the posts and cargo terminal management at airports, especially about the authorization limit at the posts and cargo terminal between Airport Entity and their partners, so then there will be synergies between them and other stakeholders”.

Therefore, to assert the role of Airport Entity as the party in charge over flight safety and security and to synchronize the understandings over the management of cargo and posts, AP I initiated to conduct the National The National Seminar will involve all the related stakeholders like regulators (The Ministry of Transportations), airport operators (AP I and AP II), airlines, ground handlings, regulated agents, forwarders, related associations (ALFI, ICAC, Asperindo), customs, and academics.
