In mid of February (13/02), PT Bandara International Jawa Barat (PT BIJB) did MoU signing with private ground handling company, CAS Destination (PT Jasa Angkasa Semesta/PT JAS), done by the Managing Director of PT BIJB Virda Dimas Ekaputra and CEO of PT JAS, Adji Gunawan. Virda said, the involvement of PT JAS in making flight at the Kertajati Airport will add more companies to be involved in making flight at BIJB. Meanwhile, Adji Gunawan said, PT JAS has experienced as a ground handling since 1984 when the Soekarno-Hatta was operated. Currently, PT JAS has been existing in 13 airports and handling around 30 international airlines. "Having 3,600 employees, we prepare and serve as in the International airlines standard requirement," he said. According to him, the airport alternative beside Soekarno-Hatta should've been done since 5 - 6 years ago. Therefore, Kertajati airport is expected to be the economy source in West Java that is mainly for logistic and for multimode - it's ideal because it's close to toll road, railway and airport.
