PT Jasa Angkasa Semesta Tbk. (JAS), in order to improve its existence and service as a airport service company, invested twenty billion rupiah for developing Cargo Warehouse in Soekarno-Hatta International Airport's Cargo Area, Cengkareng. The cargo warehouse is built on 4000 m2 land and allocated 300 m2 for office space. This statement was conveyed by General Manager Cargo Network Services JAS, Subiyono to Cargo Times in a community air cargo held in Menteng, Central Jakarta. According to him, the cargo warehouse was officially operating recently. Moreover, Subiyono said that this warehouse which was built for 3 months since October 2010 to December 2010, has been used to keep costumers cargo such as domestic and international airlines, shipper and cargo agent in Soekarno-Hatta Airport. The cargo warehouse, which was built using internal cash, is equipped with several latest CCTV and modern security equipment. But he did not want to comment regarding the target that will be achieved after the cargo warehouse officially operating. JAS, not only an Airport Service company that provides comfortable and safe service towards passengers and flights but also provides in and out air cargo service. The cargo is kept in a warehouse which equipped with x-ray scanner, CCTV system, cold storage depot, special precious cargo, special limited materials and dangerous goods.(ayos)
