With overnight flights to Barcelona and Lisbon, Emirates continues to cater to both business and leisure traffic. Barcelona, in Spain's northeast, is one of the most-visited cities in Europe and boasts a wealth of gothic architecture, art galleries, sandy beaches and the Montserrat mountain range. As for Lisbon, it is well known for its advantageous location in one of Europe's warmest countries. But it also known for its medieval castles, scenic villages, and sunny winding coastlines, including in sunny Algarve where tourism drives the economy.
"These new destinations add to an already-fantastic list of Emirates' European network options that bring us closer to our loyal customers all over the world. The new services come on the back of sustained demand for both leisure and business travel," said Emirates Country Manager for Indonesia, Mohammed Al-Nahari.
Via SkyCargo, he elaborated, this also means added support for Indonesian exporters who use the new route to reach key markets, especially for garments and shoes, specialty foods, live tropical fish and electronic parts.

These expansions correspond to the "Hello Tomorrow" message - about connecting people and cultures. As a global brand platform, "Hello Tomorrow" hopes to inspire people to greet tomorrow's unlimited potential. "The theme encapsulates life's potential and how we embrace the future with whatever possibilities it holds for us," said Al-Nahari speaking on behalf of the airline. (mar)
