Lion Air, a national airlines, succeeded to be in the list of the low cost carriers with the best service in the world based on Skytrax version. The company that's under PT Lion Mentari Airlines achieved two awards for "The Best Cabin" and "The Best Premium Seats" categories in low cost class of carrier. For cabin category, Lion Air is in the seventh world rank. And for seats quality category, Lion Air is the tenth world rank as released in the World Airlines Award. Lion Air, in the list, competed with other big airlines in the low cost carrier class, like Norwegian, Jetstar, FlyDubai, and Virgin America. Skytrax explained their method in selecting the airlines in the world best list. The indicators are satisfaction assessment by passengers and the observation over the standard services by the staffs when they are on the ground and travelling by the planes. Besides the two categories, the Skytrax's award covered The Best Long-distance Budgeted Airlines and The Best Performance of Low-cost Airlines in Five Continents. Therefore, Lion Air gave positive momentum during this year (2016). In 16 June 2016, Lion Air, officially, was crossed from the black list to fly to European Union.
