An agreement on air freight handling, cargo screening and inspection between PT MyIndo Airlines (MyIndo) and PT Angkasa Pura Logistik (APLog) was signed on Monday, January 23, 2017. MyIndo was represented by Mme. Winda J. Maukar, Senior Vice President Administration, Finance and Business Development of MyIndo Air, while APLog was represented by Mr. Herry AY Sikado, President Director of PT Angkasa Pura Logistik. The two companies expressed their intention to cooperate within the scope of their respective core competencies, while exchanging valuable information with each other for further business development. Following the signing ceremony, Winda J. Maukar expressed MyIndo's commitment to growing its presence in Eastern Indonesia, particularly to serve fresh goods and marine product markets. Indonesian marine products are very well-known to foreign buyers worldwide. In line with MyIndo's plan, Herry AY Sikado reiterated the importance of appropriate cargo handling according to international standards, particularly for cargo containing perishable goods. To meet quality requirements during pre-shipment as well as delivery stage, PT Angkasa Pura Logistik will adhere to provisions within International Air Transport Association Standard Ground Handling Agreement (IATA SGHA) of 2008, particularly Section 5, 6 and 7. This will apply to all MyIndo's shipments through Angkasa Pura Logistik managed facilities. Currently, APLog carries out operation in 14 airports countrywide, mostly in eastern part of Indonesia, while MyIndo flies from Singapore to various destinations in Indonesia, namely Balikpapan and Surabaya. This agreement is not only seen to strengthen the existing business ties between the companies, nonetheless the cooperation also aims tobroaden up market opportunities for both parties.
