Early 2023, SiCepat Ekspres (SiCepat) opened the year with a positive activity of Trash Care action in Ciliwung river, Depok, West Java. The action involved 40 people from a joined team of JNE employees that collaborate with Depok Ciliwung Community in the series of activities to clean the river on Thursday (12/1) at the Depok Ciliwung Community Base Camp, Jl. Boulevard Grand Depok City, Depok, West Java.

Through the program of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) “SiCepat Peduli”, the activity was conducted due to environment preservation especially in the area around the river bank, such as Ciliwung River in Depok areas and its surrounding.

The agenda was started with the education of waste management mitigation and solution, and the handling of plastic waste to become economist products (eco-brick). Then, the agenda was closed with Ciliwung river cleaning using SiCepat Express’ rubber boats.

CEO SiCepat Ekspres, The Kim Hai said that the care action in the Ciliwung border area, Depok was a real action as a form of SiCepat commitment to continually support the environment preservation.

“As a follow-up action of corporate green commitment that we have done, the cleaning action in Ciliwung, Depok from trashes is a part of our programs that we hope will give positive effect to the environment as well as to ourselves. We hope some actions can motivate us to care and save the environment, and also spread the positive spirit to our family, friends, and neighborhood, “said The Kim Hai.

Further, The Kim Hai explained that, in the future, SiCepat will keep collaborating with environment activists or organizations that have an environment preservation vision aligned with SiCepat’s commitment to realize a green corporate. Through the collaboration, the series of programs focusing on the environment preservation will be continually organized, especially in the crisis areas that need help.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Andi, the Leader of Depok Ciliwung Community expressed his appreciation about the collaboration of the river cleaning program organized by SiCepat.

“We open our arms to welcome the collaboration organized by SiCepat Ekspres and us to preserve the environment in the border areas of Ciliwung river, Depok. As a Ciliwung watcher community, we hope this program can give a real education to SiCepat employees who were involved in this action as well as inspire the community widely to continually save the river and start good things to handle plastic waste so that our environment would be sustainable,” said Andi.
