PT Angkasa Pura II (AP II) is ready to help passengers of airlines at all airports under their managements during the Eid-ul Fitri this year. The flow of passengers at the 13 airports under AP II is predicted to reach 4.69 millions during the 2016 Eid-ul-Fitri, or it will increase by 8% compared to the same period of last year for 4.34 millions of passengers. The flow of passengers at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, especially, is predicted to reach 2.78 millions of passengers or increase 3.2% in the homecoming peak time on D-5 to D-3 and on D+5, D+9 and D+10 of back flow. As monitored from the trend of ticket bookings, the total of airline passengers has started to increase since 29 June 2016 or D-9. Related to the Eid-ul-Fitri transport, airlines at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport will add up to 200 extra flights for dense routes. The President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Budi Karya Sumadi said, "We also coordinate with the stakeholders of the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in order to make sure the services will be maintained well during the Eid-ul Fitri. Then, for the land transportation, there will be additional fleets of taxies and buses as well as the implementation of first-in, first-out or FIFO to smoothen the taxies' queue," said Budi Karya Sumadi. For the sake of service improvement, Angkasa Pura II will also add more waiting chairs and expand the musholla area at the existing terminal, then to optimize the umroh lounge as holding area, and runs free takjil (starters to break a fast) during the Ramadhan month. Meanwhile, to guarantee the safety at the airports, all aviation securities will be assisted by Army and Police.(mar)
