LTC: Creates Qualified Human Resources With Modern And Comprehensive Facilities
Lion Air, a national airline, recently accepted Lion Air Training Centre (LTC) and Wing Flying School (WFS)'s graduates who have completed their training and education successfully. Each graduated seven pilots of Wings Flying School - Batch 1; thirty technicians of Basic Aircraft Maintenance - Batch 1, and twenty-two cabin crews of Initial Training Flight Attendance - Batch 88.
Lion Village Facility is facilitated by adequate information system technologies like Trax system, a system that integrates airplane operational at airport or hangar with online spare-part warehouse; and is equipped by Geneva System as well, a flight operational system that integrates and coordinates flight schedules, cabin crews' schedules, and flight operational memos.
"The provision of facilities and training tools is Lion Air's commitment towards the emphasis on training to maintain the safety and convenience on flight. With the complete facilities, we expect to produce high quality as well as qualified human resources. The facilities and tools are aimed to develop the employees' skills continually, and facilitate the new candidates that will join the company so that they can meet the company's prevailing standard," Edward Sirait - General Director of Lion Air said to the Cargo Times+.
As we have known, LTC has just been completed by the new training facilities like Boeing 737-900 ER simulator, an ATR-72 500 simulator; and another training facility such as Wet Drill, simulation training for cabin crews to conducting evacuation when the plane makes emergency landing on the water. Thereby, LTC has had two flight simulators of Boeing 737-900 ER types, one simulator of ATR 72-500 flight, and one simulator of MD-Series flight.
WFS, located in Cirebon, West Java has had 4 (four) training fleets for pilot candidates. Besides that, there is a more modern and comprehensive training site under preparation.
Presently, Lion Air has served 3033 flights every week, and flown to 54 (fifty-four) destination cities in all over Indonesian, and 5 (five) international / regional destination cities. Lion Air has 63 fleets; they are 44 Boeing 737-900 ERs, 2 (two) Boeing 747-400s, 4 (four) Boeing 737-300s, 9 (nine) Boeing 737-400s, and 4 MD-90s. Wings Air has 15 (fifteen) fleets; they are 10 (ten) ATR 72-500s, 2 (two) Dash-8s, 3 (three) MD-82s. The total of both Lion Air's and Wings Air's fleets are 78 (seventy-eight) planes. (AYOS)
